Le Bourdon Project

Forest communities of the Regional County Municipality (RCM) of Antoine-Labelle have come together under the Bourdon Project, a 19-member organization working to ensure the future of the area’s forest sector.

Operated by the Association of Forest Stakeholders of the Hautes-Laurentides, the Bourdon Project represents more than 10,000km2 of mixed forest in western Quebec. Its partners have a long-term plan to develop an integrated forest management plan that will aid in developing the province’s management plan.

Through sustainable planning that will optimize forest production capacity and expand economic benefits in the forest and tourism sectors, this new organization aims to help partners and local communities respond to the challenges of revitalizing the forest sector.
